Achievements - a reminder

Sometimes in the daily hustle and bustle of life I forget some of the amazing things that have happened to me in my life. I'm just an ordinary kid from a working class background, i was quite average at school, never really popular and my family was never very well off. So when it comes to listing some of the stuff I've done its quite a shock to me.

So this is a nice little list that I'll probably keep adding to, I encourage you all to give it a go, you'd be surprised what you've managed to do!
  • Got married to an amazing woman and we're still going strong (18 years of marriage and 26 years together).
  • I'm the father of two amazing boys (13 and 11 at time of writing)
There you go, that's the most obvious ones out of the way, but in all seriousness they're the two I'm most proud of. I know myself pretty well so I do find it amazing that Sarah does still want to be with me after all this time. Anyway on to the not so obvious ones:
  • Sat on the great pyramids of Giza
  • I've taken a long boat down the Mekong river in Laos
  • Played a gig to 500 hundred angry bikers.....and survived
  • Washed my feet in Loch Ness, didn't see any monster though.
  • I have two degrees (ones interesting and the other is dull)
  • Recorded two EP's with two different bands.

  • Visited 5 continents and circumnavigated the world.
  • Walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, London & Tower Bridge, the Golden Gate bridge, Ponte Vecchio (Florence) and the Rialto Bridge (Venice) - anyone would think I'm obsessed with bridges!
  • Walked through NZ bush with my kids at night to see glow worms!
  • Held both my children within seconds of their birth.
